Slow and gentle upward movements toward the heart
is instantly relaxing and works on the central nervous system and
the lymphatic system. The benefits are we find sleep easier and
more restful.
It should be part of our routine. If time is short even a few minutes
just massaging the hands, arms and then the whole body if possible.
Remember the gentler and slower the more enjoyable and relaxing
it is. This time we give to nurturing ourselves can elevate so much
stress and help us to enjoy life more.
The body at the same time gets a wonderful moisturising and nourishing
treatment, so that we will be looking after our emotions and our
body at the same time.
Face
Massage Instructions
1 Cleanse and tone face before beginning massage or moisten with
3-4 warm compresses.
2 Begin by rubbing hands together vigorously for a few seconds,
so that they become warm.
3 Pour your chosen oil into the palm of the hand to warm it and
then dab all over face and neck, gently stroke the oil all over
the face and neck, spreading it evenly.
4 Using both hands begin massage on your neck, gently stroke upwards
from the base to the jaw line, alternating sides.
5 Place the fingertips of both hands on your chin and gently slide
them apart following your jaw line out to the bottom of your ear.
Do this 3 times.
6 Place the finger tips of both hands gently under your nose and
stroke out towards the centre of both ears, following the line of
your cheek bones. Do this 3 times.
7 Place the finger tips of both hands at the top and either side
of your nose and gently stroke out towards the tops of your ears,
following the edge of our eye sockets. Do this 3 times.
8 Using both hands gently stroke upwards from between your eyebrows
to your hair line, working from the centre of your forehead out
to your temples, from here using both hands at the same time circle
around your eyes 3 times, ending on your temples.
9 Leave your middle fingers on each temple and slowly make small
circles here, 6 times.
Repeat from 4 to 9 twice more.
10 Apply Blot off excess oil using a warm compress.
