Eucalyptus (Citriodora)
There are over 700 species of eucalyptus but only 20 are used commercially. The oil is commonly known as lemon eucalyptus. The odour is strong fresh citronella like odour with a sweet balsamic undertone. Great to use as an aid to help concentration. This oil is also known to have bacteriostatic activity towards Staphylococcus aureus. Traditionally used in treating the respiratory system. For treating such problems as bronchitis, flu asthma and coughs. Add 5 drops to 5mls of massage oil Toxic if taken internally. It is anti bacterial anti inflammatory, anti neuralgic, antiseptic antispasmodic, antiviral decongestant deodorant diuretic expectorant stimulant. Again remember essential oils are very powerful you only need a small amount.
